The weather behaved and it turned into a brilliant day in the National Park. We enjoyed a variety of salads including home-made Caesar - with eggs - and garden salad, potato salad and coleslaw. We also enjoyed chicken and Italian sausages cooked on the park's BBQ. Chocolate cake was also brought along for all to enjoy as was Toblerone. YUM. 

Since it was our first New Creation social for the year, we enjoyed a short devotional on New Beginnings. The Bible is cram-packed with New Beginnings... from the Creation, to Noah, to Abraham and a multitude of fresh starts and second chances within the Old Testament. Then of course the New Beginnings of the New Testament including the new beginning that Christ offers us with his first coming, and the New Beginning when the new Heaven and new Earth come to pass. We also had a look at New Beginnings on a personal level, what it meant to the apostle Paul and what they have meant to us and how every day is a new beginning. With Christ, we are a new beginning, a new creation.
