Check out the websites above for the map to the camp grounds and a little more details about the camp grounds. Tim and I will be going down early to set up camp so that if anyone would like to come down on the Friday night then they will have a tent set up for them already when they arrive.
I will need to know who is interested in coming along for the fun weekend so that we can organise food, tents and transport. Or, if you would prefer, you can organise your own food; just let us know ahead of time what your preference is.
Here is a list of things you will need:
A tent
a pillow (or, if you are hardy you can use a log)
toiletries (if you forget these then we will throw you in the river for a wash -
even though there are very good shower and loo facilities)
a change of underwear and socks
a change of clothes (if you must)
a sense of adventure or a sense of relaxation (you choose)
any board games you want to play or balls you want to throw around etc
a sleeping bag and warm stuff (It gets a little chilly at night)
cooler wear for the day (when the sun comes out it can get quite hot)
sunblock
hat - sunhat for the day and beanie for the night
a towel (for when you accidentally fall in the river (oh yeah, and for when you
shower)
fishing gear (if you are interested - don't forget that fishing license also)
Cost: Last year it cost $7 a night plus food. I will need to know numbers so that I can work out the cost of food. If you wish to hire a canoe then that will cost a bit more (I can't remember how much though). Tim and I will be hiring a canoe so if you want to take that out for a "spin" you are more than welcome.
