Friday June 3rd - 'P' Party
| The "P" Party was a fabulous
night of everyone going to the effort of dressing up as something starting with
a "P". And we managed to support our Second Chance outlet by buying
our costumes from them.
Tracy and Nathan arrived first. Tracy came as a "P" plate and Nathan came as a Puppy Dog. Arriving next were Jo and Jayson. Jo came as a professor with a tweed jacket and bow tie and Jayson came as a scary Primary School student (Any primary school student that tall would be scary). |

Chris came as a
Producer, complete with beret, producer sign for the back of his chair, a
producer cardigan that had an old tissue left in the pocket from the previous
owner (ew!), and a huge cardboard speaker-phone thingy.
Andy walked in as our 2nd Professor complete with geeky pants that were too short for him, tweed jacket, a brief case, glasses, a folder and pens to complete the look and lastly Amanda arrived wearing all pink including her shiny hot pink shoes, pink skirt and pink jacket and even a pink bag. Lynda went as a Parachutist going tandem and Tim came as a Puzzled cow. He wore his cow costume which he wears to all fancy dress parties and had a puzzle attached to the side of his head. |
| We enjoyed an awesome
punch that Amanda made with pineapple, passionfruit and other P things
that blended together in such a yum way. We gobbled down the Pretzels and
then had Pie for dinner with potato mashed on top with a perfect salad (palad?)
on the side.
Lyn led the devotion on "Practicing Prayer" and explained how important it was to practice prayer, by practicing preparation for prayer, practicing intercession, practicing listening to God and practicing worship. |

Much conversation was to be had until the lure of the puzzle got too much. Some of the die-hards stayed until just shy of midnight to finish the 350 piece puzzle. It was worth it. We have now completed the quality checking so we can re-donate the puzzle back to Second Chance, knowing without fear that no pieces were missing. :)
